Polyamide rug with geometric shapes
The Ducale carpet collection draws inspiration from men’s cufflinks, elegant accessories that have always been subject to original reinterpretations: their fine geometries and regimental graphics are now revisited as precious wall-to-wall carpeting inlays of various kinds, giving life to an eclectic mix of textures, thicknesses, and colors — all skillfully hand — assembled by Besana Carpet Lab.
The Ducale carpet series is an evolution of the textile covering created by Besana Carpet Lab and Cristina Celestino for Tram Corallo, a project presented at the 2018 Milan Design Week: the refined tailormade carpeting that, in line with the designer’s vision, adorned the historic vehicle now turns into a collection of fully customizable carpets, where once again impeccable craftsmanship meets style.
Ducale comprises three types of carpets with a unique personality: each version, featuring different sizes and manufacturing techniques, is characterized by an inspired blend of carpeting inserts, creating fine contrasts of colors and materials. Carpet edges and diagonal sections are embellished with golden yellow stitching, evoking the precious world of jewelry.
Thanks to the company’s great expertise and to the design’s versatility, the collection is completely customizable, in all its aspects, from the selection of colors and types of carpeting up to the arrangement of the geometric motif.
Ducale carpets may be customized by choosing among four types of carpetin inserts, to give life to new, unique combinations of different thicknesses and textures.
This option flaunts a sophisticated take on the iconic geometric motif, whose arrangement may vary to create different interplays of proportions.
