Mate is a 3 seater upholstered sofa bed.
By day, Mate is a very comfortable sofa expressed in the generous volumes of the seat and back cushions, enhanced by the choice of coverings and craftsmanship that convey roundness and softness to both sight and touch. By night, it becomes a convenient and practical bed for two, ideal for accommodating guests even at the last moment.
A sofa bed that fulfills both functions while ensuring maximum comfort and ergonomics in both configurations without sacrificing elegance and design in the living area.
The sofa has compact dimensions and well-calibrated proportions, it is lightweight, easy to move, and transform into a bed, optimizing the use of the available space. The structure, made of cylindrical tubular steel, curves to define the entire perimeter: starting from the base, it rises to provide support for the armrests and backrest in a continuous solution, forming a metal skeleton that accommodates the two large orthogonal padded elements that form the backrest and seat. Two thin cushions are inserted laterally, resting on the tubular structure and cascading along the side to form the armrests. At the base of the sofa, an extendable comb-like network allows, with a simple gesture, to double the surface on which to accommodate the two adjacent and coplanar padded elements with a mattress function. The two kidney cushions that complete the sofa's comfort can also be used as pillows for the bed.
