Decking

Outdoor decking represents the wood flooring used to cover outdoor surfaces. Some wood species are naturally resistant to the action of external agents - among these, teak, ipe and iroko are durable and do not require special treatments for conservation. Their characteristics make them suitable for decking, together with the heat-treated bamboo and ash. Decking (or outdoor parquet) is perfect for covering terraces, gardens, balconies, patios, pool edges, walkways and gazebos. It can be laid from scratch or on existing floors, does not require special maintenance and does not require special finishes but it is important to treat it with specific natural oils before installation, to prevent discolouration, due to continuous sun exposure.

All the wood species of decking: an eco-friendly choice

Decking is an ecological solution, simple and versatile in design, to furnish outdoor spaces of homes or rooms. An eco-friendly choice that is also ideal for terraces, gardens and poolside areas. Decking in Ipe and decking in teak are the most used, as they are made of wood species resistant to the main causes of external deterioration. The main aspect of decking is its ecological nature, which guarantees an excellent yield over time. It also has a good drainage capacity, allowing it to be installed on any type of surface. The heat-treated bamboo decking, on the other hand, is a product with exceptional dimensional stability and - thanks to the high-density heat-treatment to which it is subjected - is not subject to torsional phenomena and is resistant to the elements. WPC decking, on the other hand, is composed of an innovative material which - due to its characteristics - is used for covering large spaces and external floors, being very flexible and dynamic. Composed of wood fibre and thermoplastic material, it is 100% ecological and recyclable and requires less maintenance than hardwood or solid wood. The WPC staves are also non-slip, anti-mould and anti-chip, resistant to water and salt, resistant to termites and insects, characteristics that make this material particularly suitable for covering floors and pool edges.

Composite decking: safe, durable and eco-friendly

Composite decking is a type of outdoor flooring composed of wood dust and thermoplastic resins with wood effect. It is an ecological product, since it is produced using the waste of other industrial processes and effectively replaces outdoor wooden floors, presenting significant advantages. First of all, it has a long life: it is resistant to the bleaching action of the sun and does not change colour, does not crack and is moulds and parasites proof. The installation of the composite decking is fast and simple, suitable for covering floors and pool edges. Does not require specific maintenance and does not chip. The composite decking preserves the main characteristics of real wood floors thanks to the design of the strips and the various colours available.
