GYROFOCUS - This seminal design, created in 1968, was the first suspended, 360° pivoting fireplace.‎ It became the signature model and symbol of Focus.‎This international classic has been voted “world’s most beautiful object” at the 2009 Pulchra Design Awards, against over 100 prestigious competitors.‎ It has been exhibited in the Bordeaux Contemporary Art Museum (1996), in the National Centre of Contemporary Art in Grenoble (1997) and in New York’s Guggenheim Museum (1998).‎

Characteristics

hearth: diameter 1.‎25 m, weight 97 kg; standard plate weight: 19 kg; flue: 16 kg/m (made to measure); highly heat-resistant matt black paint; trapdoor for removing ash.‎ A stainless steel ball-bearing system allows the fireplace to be rotated so it can be easily directed to face different parts of the room.‎- guaranteed efficiency with a minimum flue length (interior plus exterior) of 4.‎25 m.‎ -
