GIEMMESYSTEM® - Giemme Interior is a patented folding glazing system, ideal for use as an interior partition in offices, private homes or public premises, thanks to its total flexibility. Once closed, it provides rooms with privacy and acoustic insulation. In offices or public premises it lends itself very well to dividing and simultaneously harmonising different rooms. In private homes, it can be used as a partition between the living room and kitchen or, in studio apartments, as a partition between the living and sleeping areas. Again, in private homes, GIEMME SYSTEM® can be used as an enclosure for interior spaces used as walk-in wardrobes or wardrobes (GIEMME WARDROBE). Thanks to the seals around the perimeter and between the doors, it provides protection from dust. It can be opened from both sides or only from one side.
The choice of finishes and the absence of a floor guide allow the GIEMME SYSTEM® glazing to blend in perfectly with the environment. The glass and aluminium strips are available in different colours to better meet the most diverse requirements. Transparent glass allows the room to be divided, simultaneously allowing the eye to pass through without altering the perception of the surrounding space; an acid-etched glass solution allows light to penetrate but divides the room into two separate areas while maintaining their privacy; glass decorated (GIEMME SYSTEM® déco) with the preferred image gives the room a touch of elegance and customisation. The delicate transparencies of GIEMME SYSTEM® can be exploited to create plays of light between rooms.
THE SYSTEM®
FEATURES
The mobile glazing is designed and built with materials that have been studied and tested in their systems, all to the benefit of quality and functionality.
The supporting structure is made of anodised aluminium (20 µm) or polyester powder coated. The 10 mm toughened glass doors with polished edges slide on the upper track with special Delrin® bearings, ensuring easy handling and sliding. The screws and pivots are in stainless steel. All this guarantees excellent quality and maintenance-free operation.
DIMENSIONS
GIEMME SYSTEM® walls can be built to surround spaces of all types and sizes. There are no limits in the horizontal direction. The binding parameter is the height, which cannot exceed 2900 mm. The maximum width of a single sash is 700/800 mm, depending on the height of the glazing. If necessary, a fixed or opening fanlight can be realised with wasistas, framed or completely made of glass.
ATMOSPHERIC TIGHTNESS AND PERFORMANCE
Maximum tightness is guaranteed by transparent polycarbonate gaskets between the sashes and on the sides, and by EPDM and polypropylene fibre gaskets on the upper and lower sides. When the glazing remains closed, the transparent U-shaped polycarbonate gaskets, placed between the sashes, fit perfectly with the glass, creating a very transparent wall and giving solidity to the entire structure.
GIEMME SYSTEM® products are tested by notified laboratories and comply with the regulations in force (UNI EN 14351-1: air permeability, water tightness, wind load resistance, impact resistance)
PACKAGING
The practical and light sliding system allows the glazing to be opened completely in just a few moments.
The size of the packaged sashes is approximately 5 cm for each sash.
REALIZATION WITH OR WITHOUT GUIDE
GIEMME SYSTEM® glazing can also be made without a floor guide up to a maximum of 4 sashes. By packing the glazing on both sides, it is possible to cover approximately 6 metres without a floor guide.
With the use of the floor guide, there are no limits to the horizontal construction. Various types of floor guides are available, depending on the client's requirements:
- Recessed floor guide: used in frequently passing situations, as it does not constitute an obstacle
- External floor guide: suitable for installation on parapets and terraces
- External floor guide with rebate guarantees maximum tightness, thanks to the gaskets with rebate function between the rail and the lower aluminium strips
PARTICULAR IMPLEMENTATIONS
- Removable hinges: hinge system with removable pins, allowing easy cleaning of the outside of glazing placed on balconies
- "Corner-corner" system: allows the sashes to slide past corners, leaving them free of clutter
- All-glass" corner: corner realisation without uprights with magnetic gasket.
ACCESSORIES
A range of accessories can be applied to each realisation, such as locks, handles, door closers, to create entrances and hinged sashes to be inserted inside the glazing.
FINISHES
It is possible to choose aluminium parts in different finishes, depending on one's needs: anodised, painted in the various RAL colours, marbled colours, wood effect.
The glass is available in the following variants: transparent, extra-clear, coloured, smoked, bronzed, acid-etched and even screen-printed with customised decoration.
MAINTENANCE
The materials of which the glazing is made, aluminium, toughened glass and stainless steel accessories, due to their intrinsic characteristics do not require maintenance. It is only necessary to carry out adequate cleaning from time to time.
