Air to water Heat pump
A Heat Pump is a machine that produces thermal energy for the different needs of domestic and residential applications (heating and hot sanitary water). Its functioning principle is similar to a refrigerator’s one: heat taken from a low temperature ambient is transferred to a second one with higher temperature.
The same, a Heat Pump takes heat from an outdoor cold ambient (in winter time) to transfer it to a different, warmer indoor ambient, further heating it up. Such process is using thermal energy (heat) already present in nature, therefore Heat Pumps are heat generators working with free and renewable energy.
Moreover, activating Heat Pumps in reversed cycle, it permits cooling of indoor spaces in summer time: with the same functioning principle, heat is now adsorbed from indoor and delivered outdoors.
Heat Pumps are activated by electricity, to allow the refrigerating cycle to perform, but most of the energy produced is “adsorbed” from a different source, the outdoor air.
Such electricity can be supplied by a photovoltaic installation, and in such a case thermal energy produced is completely free.
Savings through the use of Heat Pumps are really high, given as well the possibility to use reduced tariff power supply meters; in the future, due to the reduced availability of natural fuels and their increasing prices, such savings will grow even further.
