Rocking polyurethane chair with armrests

When thinking of retirement, many people imagine sitting in a rocking chair in front of a fire.‎ Perhaps it was the same idea that inspired the two designers of the Neuland, Paster & Geldmacher studio when they developed Elephant Rocking.‎ This rocking chair is a development of the renowned Elephant chair by Kristalia.‎ In 2012, the chair won the Interior Innovation Award in the “best of the best” section.‎ The chair is welcoming and comfortable.‎ The rocking version has a frame made entirely of solid wood, which excellently contrasts with the structure in polyurethane or entirely upholstered in hide.‎  “This is just a start”, commented the two designers when presenting the chair.‎ New finishes and surprises are on the horizon!

The Elephant chair designed by Neuland studio is a new and attractive product for green spaces.‎ Its wide, all-embracing structure is in hard polyurethane available in various colours including white and black, or in colours inspired by nature: terracotta, brown, beige and olive green.‎ Its, narrow and dynamic metal frame comes with 4 legs or a slide frame.‎ It is available in lacquer in the same colour as the structure, with a weatherproof epoxy finish.‎
2011 sees the new version of Elephant with typical Nordic style solid beech legs and with polished or painted die-cast aluminium swivel base.‎
The padded version with cold-foamed polyurethane cushions upholstered in hide is even more refined and comfortable, with handcrafted stitching, which recalls the backbone of an elephant, adding a further touch of natural prestige to the concept of this chair.‎
