Multiple office workstation with shelves
From the seating to the storage unit: a complete selection for the contract market playing with modules.
Greatest comfort, modular units, versatility: these are the main features of an extremely flexible system that gives a new flair to high-frequency areas, making them essential and elegant.
This project started with the ADD seating system, designed by Francesco Rota and awarded with several prizes. The idea behind that was meeting the multiple requirements of the contract market (when designing hotel rooms, waiting rooms, lounge areas, private studios, corridors); still, it can well be adapted to the residential.
Launched in 2014, the seating system has been continuously enriched with new solutions and equipment, until even a table joined the collection.
Besides the seating and the table, the ADD collection has been further improved, going as far as the storage unit.
Such system allows the greatest freedom in composing and personalizing. The doors of the storage unit can be in lacquered plywood, in blanched oak or upholstered in fabric. Therefore, there is the possibility of playing with the colors of the fabric: you can mix and match –for a fresh look- or keep ton sur ton –for a refined look. In both cases, the color matching between the cushions of ADD seating and the upholstery of the storage units results in a unique, coherent style.
ADD was conceived to meet a particular requirement in the contract market: the need for a versatile, elegant, essential piece of furniture that adapts to the existing architecture. ADD is now an innovative system where two main characteristics converge: an accurate sense of planning and lapalma’s ability as well as industrial capability.
ADD, a versatile system of modular seating awarded with several acknowledgments like the Red Dot Design Award, just to mention the latest one. The system consists of a base where you can put panels, seats, seat-backs and other devices and, launched in 2014, it has been continuously improved with new equipment and possible combinations. The last step of this project is a new table whose design is at the same time essential and refined and which is characterized by a frame of aluminum profiles continuing in die-cast aluminum legs. Technically, the corner leg connects the beams forming a 90° angle, whereas the connecting leg forms a 180° angle with the beams, so that two or more tables can be jointed. This makes the table perfect for foodservice, for the office, for break-out areas and, in general, the hospitality market.
