Mixed grain. The strips can have colour variegations and small knots. In large-format planks (width from 140 mm upwards) knots can also be consolidated or partially filled.

Mixed grain and colour variegations. In oak and Canaletto walnut widespread presence of knots, even consolidated or partially filled knots. In tropical species, in addition to marked colour contrasts, mineral formations typically present in the structure of such woods may be visible.
