FIORE AZUL is our interpretation of the weight of marble transformed into an expression of raw light, all the while encapsulating the versatility of stone.
The crafting of FIORE AZUL challenges the boundaries of marble. The stone is carved to a finely balanced limit in order to fully appreciate the translucency of the quartzite, resulting in a luminary masterpiece that bathes the space in cold light with a low glow.
AZUL is a limited series material, as usually it is not in our curated stone collection. This quartzite resembles a tranquil ocean at dusk that is enchanted with its rich tapestry of blues, ranging from the softest hues to the deepest azure depths, depicting the movement of sea waves. It is the only blue stone used for the MAAMI HOME collection. Azul contains a very rare mineral called Dumortierite, which gives the stone its blue color. This special material has chromatic characteristics and is being considered as one of the world's most valuable quartzite varieties.
FIORE's brushed aluminium base was chosen to make the lamp lighter in weight and combine state-of-the-art technology with craftmanship.

Despite the robustness of the material, MAAMI challenged the limits of marble by excavating the stone to explore its translucency.
