CONTINUUM By Natevo
The make-up vanity and the writing desk coherently reiterate the elegant, stylish lines of the Continuum collection.
The structure has an anodic bronze or gris sablè finish. The top can be in coffee-stained oak or in the scratch-resistant thermostructured finishes Style (sand) or Epoque (white and grey).
The LEDs are incorporated in the upper bar and these illuminate the worktop surface: adjusting its position modifies the diffusion of the light to suit requirements. The adjustable bar of the make-up vanity is fitted with a round mirror.
Matteo Nunziati – an architect who is internationally renowned for his designs for luxury hotels, wellness centers, Spa facilities and private homes – has created ambiences that are recognized for their beauty, elegance and exclusive style and enthusiastically embraced the idea of designing furniture with integrated LED lights. ‘The products I designed were inspired by the German Rationalist orientation of Bauhaus in which function and disciplined design are transformed into beauty and elegance. The common denominators can be identified in the
straight, tight and decisive lines: a sort of geometric grid that can be declined as bookcases, tables, storage units, armchairs, beds and wardrobes. The light fittings are installed inside pipes: the final result is the delightful contrast between the shape of the structure and a soft wrap-around of indirect light.
I used traditional and sophisticated materials: aluminum, wood, marble. The integration of light in the piece of furniture allows the elimination of the majority of the light fittings and, consequently, the costly and complicated installations (tracks for the cables, electrical connections, masonry work on the ceiling or in the walls). The Natevo furniture can be moved into the chosen position, the plug is inserted in the socket with extraordinary esthetic and illumination technology results’.
