Panel curtains are especially used in order to screen large size French windows. The opening and closing mechanism of the canvas slides horizontally. When closed, the blinds look like rectangular panels placed one next to the other; when opening, the panels slide on the rail and go one over the other until they take up the space of one single panel, normally occupying only one of the two sides of the window. The operation can be both manual or motorized. For panel blinds it is recommended to use medium weight fabrics, that are not too lightweight or veiled.
