BALINA in its ceiling version is an outdoor lamp with a poetic and measured character, designed to suspend lightly from architectural overhead elements. Its glass body, inspired by the purity of dewdrop-like spheres, brings a refined luminous presence to porches, pergolas, or covered outdoor spaces.
Installed on the ceiling, via rod or suspension, BALINA floats in the air like a small drop of light. By day, the transparency of the glass allows it to blend seamlessly into its surroundings; by night, it glows with a soft radiance that enhances the vertical dimension of the space.
Ideal for residential settings, hospitality spaces or porches surrounded by greenery, BALINA combines formal simplicity, material quality, and compositional flexibility, fitting effortlessly into classic, contemporary or rustic environments.
Body, base, and ceiling mount made of aluminum alloy; rod in AISI 304 stainless steel. High-resistance hand-blown glass diffuser. Equipped with high-intensity LED with a color rendering index (CRI) above 90. No visible screws. Screws made of A4 stainless steel. The product undergoes a galvanic anodization treatment divided into distinct phases: mechanical satin-finishing, surface degreasing, anodic oxidation, and final sealing. It is then painted using a double-coat in-line process (epoxy-based primer + polyester-based topcoat), which creates a single, high-thickness protective layer.
Combined with the prior anodization, this provides a strong barrier against atmospheric agents and UV rays, achieving corrosion resistance in salt spray tests far beyond market standards. The glass bonding process on Platek products is preceded by a surface pre-treatment using atmospheric pressure plasma.
This process activates the surface energy precisely where needed, ensuring excellent wettability and removing any release agent residues, resulting in long-lasting adhesion. The next steps involve the application of silicone and the assembly of the glass onto the luminaire body, using an automated process that guarantees perfect sealing of the lamp. IP65, IK05.
