Pool edging and the surrounding pavement are an important choice because they determine the ambiance, they complete it and equip it safely. The guidelines certainly depend on your personal taste but donāt forget functionality because a good quality pool edge should be non-slip, anti-freeze and easily washable and maintainable. Since the edges are walked on barefoot, they shouldnāt get too hot with sunrays and they should be coarse enough to avoid slipping when wet. In skimmer swimming pools itās better to lay the edges uneven from pavement to prevent rain and water used to clean from getting into the pool. If you prefer, instead, an even laying flush with the pavement, you should choose an outer shaped border. Infinity pools require a completely flat edge and they must have grids for water recirculation.
The most recommended materials for pool edges are marble, porcelain stoneware and reconstituted stone that can be easily molded following poolās shape. In some cases the concrete used for reconstituted stone is added with photocatalytic substances that can eliminate the organic and inorganic pollutants in the air thus preserving the aesthetic quality of the manufacts in time. Grass turfs arenāt easy maintenance. They are always humid and anti-hygienic because the make residues get into the water.
