The Italian law defines as renewal and restoration works the ones that aim at preserving the building in order to ensure its functionality while respecting its formal and structural elements allowing compatible uses. Among the possible interventions we have structural reinforcement, construction elements recovery and renewal, insertion of additional elements and technological installations and superfetations. Howerver there are significant differences between architectural recovery and preservation works. While architectural recovery works can apply only to buildings which have an historical/artistic value, the preservation works can be applied to buildings that need to recover their function from a static and hygienic point of view so this kind of works is less bound to regulations. In the Renewal and Restoration section of the Archiproducts catalogue you can search for the dehumidifying plasters, chemical barrier systems for macro-porous plasters, surface cleaning and protection products (degreasing, waterproofing and corrosion inhibiting products), structural reinforcement products like the FRPs, surface recovery products (tixotropic mortars, fiber-reinforced mortars and renovation grouts), ground consolidation products and asbestos abatement treatments.
