Handmade Rugs
Choosing a handmade rug means choosing a product steeped in tradition and craftsmanship, a mirror of various cultures but also an object of new interest. In addition to the classic and iconographic Persian carpet, we find the Kilim carpet, a flatweave carpet, typical of Asian culture and equally traditional. A special feature of this carpet is the weaving on a loom, like a tapestry, an alternative technique to hand knotting. Craftsmanship can also be found in handmade runners, a type of carpet characterised by lengths that can cover spaces such as corridors or stairways. Handmade carpets are mainly made of wool, but interesting solutions can be found on the market in vegetable fibres or silk, as well as in combinations of several fibres.
