Sputnik is a suspension lamp with brass body with galvanic gilding, suspended via an interchangeable rigid rod that comes in two sizes (included).‎ Finishes in metal painted black, ivory or in a multicoloured white/ivory/yellow/green/red/light blue/blue/black pattern.‎ 6W 2700K E14 LED light bulbs included.‎ Brass wire casing.‎

Sputnik is the name coined at the end of 1957 by the Russian space programme.‎ Its name means travelling companion in the Russian language.‎ The in-house style centre, under the careful supervision of the then production manager Bruno Gatta, decided to develop a lighting solution vaguely reminiscent of that satellite launched into orbit.‎
Thus the Sputnik family was born, consisting of a pendant, floor, wall and ceiling lamp.‎
The multicolour version is perhaps the most unusual, given the use of different colours.‎

The light source is composed of 12 truncated cones that are more tapered than the other families, each supporting an E14 lamp holder.‎ The resulting effect is a true explosion starting with the spherical central core made of brass, an unmistakable representation of the Russian satellite.‎

Technical details
Lamp with twelve stems of different lengths and positioned asymmetrically.‎ Twelve E14 lamp holders concealed inside the cones.‎
The base of the 1950s collection is made of white Carrara marble.‎

Finishes
Ivory, black and multicolour.‎
