Porcelain stoneware wall/floor tiles with stone effect
Venis, one of the Porcelanosa Group companies, showcases the latest Italian-inspired products with the appearance and durability of natural stone. The Company will present its latest flooring and tiles, suitable for all types of buildings, at the Cersaie international ceramics fair in Bologna: Dayton, a material composed of Piasentina stone dates back to Roman times and features pale white veining and small flashes of colour with brown hues and marked oxide strata.
Popular belief has it that the origin of the name “Piasentina” comes from a traditional Friulian anecdote when the main contractors in Udine described it in the local dialect as “pietra che la piase”, since it was highly prized both for its physical and aesthetic qualities.
Since then, the material, often referred to as a Friulan stone par excellence, has become one of the most popular architectural products due to its extraordinary colour shades and suitability for both interior and outside use.
