Glass and steel bed with upholstered headboard
Leather, Glass and Steel
The Beloved bed model introduced in 2016 has been reinterpreted this year with an impressive new headboard, a boiserie containing a horizontal niche compartment decorated by graphics on the theme of nature created by Alessandro La Spada and interpreted with the inlay technique by the artist Michele Astolfi. The niche has a dual function: it is decorative but also useful for storage, with built-in courtesy lighting and separate sections in metal and grosgrain glass that trigger an optical reflection effect. The bed and the headboard are crafted with iridescent technical fabric in deconstructed geometric forms whose subdivision in upholstered modules of different sizes is underlined by the seams of the leather that create delicate shadows, enhanced by brushed steel inserts with a “Mondrian” theme. The choice of adding metal details brings light to the structure, filling the pattern with vivid personality. The sommier replicates the style of the headboard with leatherwork and metal inserts. The border in Brasilia bouclé velvet comes in earth tones. The bedside units are enhanced by the leather upholstery and have a precious metal frames and built-in lighting.
