Sectional modular sofa
Wiener GTV Design’s collection of upholstery suggests a new concept of comfort designed by GamFratesi, the Italian-Danish designer duo Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. TARGA is a family consisting of an elegant two-seater sofa and an armchair, two elements which perfectly fit contract spaces designed for an intimate and secluded atmosphere, as well as non-conventional residential environments. All elements of the brand’s tradition contribute to characterize the design’s profile: the bent beech structure holds the wide seat cushion and the upholstered backrest has a woven cane edge with an ellipsoidal element, the plate (targa), after which the design is named.
What is new for 2017, premiered in Paris, at Maison & Objet fair, is the new version characterized by the refined legs finished in brass, in line with the latest interior design trends marking a return to the metal – one which can provide appeal to stylish contemporary furniture projects.
The iconic and sophisticated TARGA collection – the first family of upholstered furniture proposed by GTV in 2015, and today among the brand’s current best-sellers – is further enriched with the new modular sofa, also available in an angular version: four modules, in addition to the angle piece, consist of three one-meter components – central, right and left – to satisfy every design need. An ideal approach for furnishing elegant lounges and contract spaces intended for a more intimate and collected sociability, as well as for residential environments with an unconventional personality. All elements of the brand’s tradition contribute to characterize the contour design: the curved beech structure supports the large seat cushion and padded back that finishes with an edge made of Vienna straw in which the ellipsoidal element is inserted, the plate, that gives the design its name.
