EUROPEAN OAK_THE MAGIC OF NATURE
The European oak is one of the most prized parquet woods. Its naturalness is enhanced by the use of environmentally-friendly finishes that do not cover the wood but enhance it with soft, delicate tones. The result is a parquet that retains the purity of wood in every aspect. For some products, the oak undergoes a special fuming treatment to blend and balance the chromatic effects of the oak and obtain a warm, natural finish.
A surface with a deeply tactile feel, Ground has a strong, lively personality that springs from the knots and splits which bring out the exuberance of wood. A sophisticated whirl of elements: softly changing hues and tactile surfaces merge smoothly. The organic unity of wood creates extraordinary visual effects that our sense of touch transforms into sensory experiences to be enjoyed every day.
TREATMENTS AND FINISHES
The parquet floors are brushed using Teflon brushes that remove the softer part of the wood from the surface of the planks, highlighting the colour, the grain design and the material effect.
- BEVELLING 4 EDGES
To give the floor more character, the four edges of the strips are bevelled to create a slight groove between the laid planks.
The lacquering cycle involves the application of multiple coats of high-resistance,acrylic lacquer. For all parquet floors we use a lacquer that is completely non-toxic, solvent-free and compliant with the most stringent European standards.
- FUMING TREATMENT
This treatment doesn’t just make the solid wood layer browner (without altering its physical characteristics), it can also yield, in conjunction with the paints, chromatic effects with warm, contemporary tones.
