More than 100 years ago, in 1923, architect and researcher Dr. Axel Eriksson invented "vapor-vulcanized gas concrete" in Sweden - now known as autoclaved aerated concrete. Together with Carl August Carlén, an entrepreneur, they started the first production in 1929 in Yxhult, southern Sweden, at a time of great scarcity of raw materials and stricter energy laws.
A competitive advantage on the market
The sustainability of buildings is increasingly at the center of construction trends, with modern sustainability policies undertaken by international institutions and organizations that have favored the increase of this trend.
The choice of materials and construction technologies are fundamental to obtaining homes that consume less and consequently have a lower environmental impact.
A sustainable home can cost on average 8% more than a normal home, but this difference is compensated by numerous advantages in the long term: a healthier and more comfortable environment, significant economic savings compared to bills and a higher value of the building; It is estimated, in fact, that the value of a green property can increase from 2 to 10% with sales times halved from 8 to 4 months.
