zintek® By ZINTEK
Continuous metal laminate
Titanium-zinc zintek® is a zinc, copper and titanium alloy, produced starting from 99,995% quality zinc, combined with Copper, which increases its tensile strength, and Titanium, which improves its resistance to permanent deformation over time.
The combination of both these elements decreases the expansion coefficient of the alloy.
The zintek® rolled products are compliant with European Standard EN 988 Zinc and zinc alloys – Specification for rolled flat products for
building.
Colours
Fresh from the rolling mill, natural zintek® appears light gray, shiny, homogeneous, and bright. Upon contact with oxygen and water, its surface gradually covers itself with a protective layer of basic zinc carbonate that remains stable over time, ensuring its long-lasting durability.
The natural appearance of the laminate can be varied through special pre-weathered treatments, which modify its color coordinates without altering its resistance and long-lasting properties.
In addition to the natural version, Zintek offers a line of coloured laminates, «The Color Line», which enhances the material qualities of zintek® while preserving its technical and functional characteristics. The coloured laminates are available in nine variants: Mediterranean Blue, Lagoon Green, Sardinian Myrtle Green, Antique Red, Natural Earth Brown, Rock Gray, Smoke Gray, Moonstone Gray, and Graphite Black.
Titanium-zinc zintek® in architecture
Titanium-zinc zintek® is not affected by temperature variations that occur after processing and installation, is non-combustible, resistant to ultraviolet rays, and does not suffer from wind erosion.
It is natural and recyclable; its chemical-physical characteristics allow excellent workability and weldability, and enable perfect adherence to any profile, thanks to a multitude of installation techniques.
Its extreme versatility and high aesthetic yield make it ideal for both conservative restoration contexts and contemporary realizations.
