Saint-Gobain Isover is a sub-brand of the Saint-Gobain Group and specialized in manufacturing insulating and waterproofing materials for the construction sector and the industry. The company was founded in 1850, in Livorno, under the name “A.S. Modigliani”. In the 1920s it became part of teh Saint-Gobain group. Its registered office is in Milan. Saint-Gobain Isover runs two main production facilities, one in Vidalengo di Caravaggio (Bergamo) and one in Chieti. The former produces felt and insulation panels, the latter bituminous membranes for waterproofings distributed under the brand name Bituver. For its products Isover employes mainly glass wool, a mineral insulation that combines performance, eco-sustainability and comfort, available in two versions, G3 and 4+.
