Sant'Ermete di Santarcangelo / Italy

The lucky trend of Scrigno began in 1989, when Giuseppe Berardi, owner of a carpenter’s shop, invented the pocket sliding door. Until then, the sliding doors were fixed to visible external tracks, thanks to the system perfected by Giuseppe Berardi, they flow inside the walls, liberating space and becoming invisible. Today Scrigno is a holding company with offices in France, Spain and the Czech Republic, and is an undisputed leader in the production of rear frames for sliding doors and windows. The counter frame consists of a metal dumpster with a sliding trolley, which is integrated into the masonry. The certified quality of the products, 100% made in Italy, and the continuous innovation developed in the Research and Development department, are the basis of the company’s success, so that the Scrigno brand has become synonymous with pocket sliding doors. In addition to indoor and outdoor back frames, Scrigno offers a line of sliding doors, hinged doors and high-performance armoured doors. Thanks to the constant dialogue with designers and architects and the attention to the ever-new needs of the market, Scrigno successfully pursues its mission, which from the outset is to offer door opening systems of excellence, able to improve the comfort and quality of the home. The company, which has been part of the Clessidra sgr group since 2008, is based in Sant’Ermete, a district of Santarcangelo di Romagna (Rimini).

Scrigno counter frames, modular systems for concealed sliding doors

The catalogue of counter frames is essentially divided into 2 lines, plus a range designed specifically for the shipbuilding industry, Doortech. Scrigno counter frames are guaranteed for life against corrosion, thanks to the use of Aluzinc, a practically indestructible galvanized aluminum sheet. In addition, the sliding system is covered by a 20-year warranty against breakage of the carriage kit and the anodized aluminum rail. The Scrigno Gold collection is the ancestor line of Scrigno products. Some models can be customized and equipped with accessories, such as the Slow Scrigno Slow and Slow Glass casket, which allows the door to close slowly. Scrigno Open allows the automatic opening and closing of the doors, and the innovative soundproofing system Acoustic Solution guarantees a high level of comfort. The Scrigno Gold Base modular back frame system for single sliding doors, ancestor and indisputable icon in the Scrigno catalogue is the simplest, but also the most customizable model. Scrigno Gold Base Doppio consists of a system of two drawer boxes that allow the disappearance of two sliding doors opposite each other. Scrigno Granluce allows the installation of sliding doors for passing lights up to 480 cm, thanks to the drawer that houses two parallel sliding doors and the sliding system to overlap and drag the doors. From the evolution of Base and Granluce is born Remix, an exclusive patent Scrigno for the installation of a single container, from the thickness reduced to the minimum, which allows the sliding to overlap and drag of two glass doors. The Gold Base line also includes counter frames for doors with special closures, such as Applauso for folding doors, Armonico for "L" shaped doors, Vario for low height doors, Contatto for serving hatch, and Orbitale for sliding doors with curved shutters. The Essential collection, with Scrigno exclusive patent, is a line of sliding and hinged solutions characterized by a minimalist mood, where jambs and cover frames have been eliminated. Essential Scorrevole is the basic subframe of the line, available in single or double versions, and in the Essential Pro version, equipped with the Scrigno Open kit for automation. Essential Dual, available only in the single shutter version for masonry walls, allows two retractable glass doors, connected to each other by the drag and drop system, to be housed in a single box and allows a double passage light to be covered. Essential Trial, resulting from the continuous research of innovations, is the synthesis of the Essential and Essential Dual models, and allows the sliding of three glass doors.

Sliding doors, hinged doors and flushed wall armored doors

In addition to the approximately 400,000 indoor and outdoor frames produced each year, the company produces a line of sliding doors, hinged doors and armored doors. The Essential Battente line includes a series of flushed wall winged doors, equipped with folding hinges, without crampons and frames, which fit perfectly into the walls. The crossover-free version allows you to extend the height of the door to the whole wall. Door panels can be painted, lacquered or covered with wallpaper, even with different finishes for each side.
The Essential Battente Vetro Mirr model features a 5 cm thick glass pan, available in different finishes: transparent, acidic, grey smoked, transparent, smoked reflex and retro-painted. This model offers sought-after solutions with a strong aesthetic impact, able to enhance any environment.
The Comfort door collection is available in the Prima version, with smooth door, and Sound, embellished with two horizontal satin-finish steel inserts. Available in white, white rosewood, white veined, oak and anthracite oak finishes. The collection of Trésor doors, available in Pure smooth door and Linea with two horizontal milled lines, offers a high possibility of customization, through the entire range of RAL colors. Both Comfort and Trésor adapt to all the Scrigno counter frames in the Gold and Essential ranges, are available in sliding and hinged models, and can be equipped with a wide choice of handles and locks.
Between the armored doors and front doors, in addition to the classic Marostica and Miramare lines, and the modern Aragona, Sismondo and Estense lines, just to name a few, the Windsor armored door, presented in 2020, stands out. Bold and original, Windsor opens with the flush-frame sash system, and is characterized by high thermo-acoustic and safety performance. ... More ... less
