Valcucine, an Italian boutique company specialized in the field of luxury
kitchens, has been committed for over forty years to providing excellence in terms of sustainability, innovation, craftsmanship, and a dedication to prioritizing well-being, innovation, sustainability, and timeless durability. Valcucine designs kitchens impervious to trends, timeless creations meant to accompany people throughout their lives. Each kitchen offers extreme freedom of design thanks to the variety of elements that can be combined across different collections, as well as through extensive customization options with a wide range of materials, finishes, and artisanal workmanship. A pioneer since the 1990s in adopting sustainable practices and materials, Valcucine introduced the concept of dematerialization with the thinnest and lightest aluminum frame door in the world, measuring only 2 mm thick, and achieved the milestone of the first 100% recyclable kitchen with the
Invitrum base units made out of glass and aluminum. In addition to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) it has pursued for years, Valcucine has set new ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) objectives that embody the company's ongoing commitment to a better future. Extending FSC certification, LEED v4.1 mapping, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, and participation in the Bioforest association are part of a series of concrete actions aligned with these objectives. Today, Valcucine distributes kitchens in over 250 showrooms worldwide, including 25 monobrand called Ateliers, spanning across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, and South Africa.
Valcucine, innovative designer kitchens made to last
The kitchens in Valcucine's catalog are distinguished by a number of strongly characterizing elements that have decreed their worldwide success. First of all, the doors, made with a structural frame in anodized aluminum combined with thin-thickness finishing panels. This solution makes the doors lightweight and ensures soft closing, as well as preserving the hinges longer over time. The
Riciclantica Outline kitchen, an evolution of the historic 2006 model, expresses the culmination of door technology, with its panels only 2mm thick. The kitchen also boasts the Good Design Award 2022, achieved in part due to the meticulous attention to detail. A linear profile covers all the edges of the elements of the composition, while the interplay between solids and voids, given by the combination of closed elements and the new shelving system, contribute to the achievement of a high aesthetic level. Another distinguishing factor is the use of glass as an essential design material. This is why the company has developed Vitrum, a series of special glass finishes for doors, tops and sides. The glass finishes are applied to several kitchens in the catalog, such as the iconic Artematica series.
Artematica Vitrum Lucido Terra features glossy lacquered glass surfaces in the color Terra, one of 35 exclusive colors in the Valcucine palette.
Artematica Soft Outline sports a refined finish made with Vitrum Mimesis, which uses innovative digital printing technology to reproduce marble effects on glass. The
Genius Loci series is also declined in exclusive Vitrum finishes, such as
Genius Loci Vitrum Tessile, characterized by a surface that reproduces the textures of fabric and declined in the color Nero Caldo. Valcucina kitchens are customizable in the choice of elements and combinations of finishes, which in addition to glass are made of wood, laminate, ceramic tech, metal, natural stone, lacquer and Angel Skin. The latter finish, applied to the
Forma Mentis Angel Skin kitchen, is made from mass-colored recycled PET and features a velvet-effect surface that is soft to the touch.
Valcucine accessories and special elements, for an all-around project
Valcucine's catalog offers various accessories and special elements for creating all-round projects. The proposed solutions allow optimal use of space and ensure maximum ergonomics. The system offers the possibility of increasing the depth of the kitchen top up to 80 or 96 cm, for the insertion of elements and accessories, such as Logica Theca, an equipped channel integrated with the worktop, ideal for storing utensils and equipped with sockets. The catalog offers a choice of matching accessories, including storage units, dividers, slanted elements, drip pans, risers and even a scale and sets of rolling pins, cutting boards and knives.
Logica Theca closes with a retractable door, so the channel is hidden from view when the kitchen is not in use. The Air Logica equipped backsplash allows the depth of the top and the space of the backsplash to be utilized by backlit shelving, which can be hidden from view by a special door.
Air Logica is applicable to kitchens in the Genius Loci series. The
equipped bridge, which is ideal for islands, adds functionality to the kitchen and is at the same time a dividing element. The essential lines and minimal volume of this accessory ensure discretion and elegance. The bridge can be configured by choosing from a variety of storage units, shelves, draining boards, hooks, electrical and USB outlets.
