25/06/2020 - FontanaArte presents Fontanella, the new table lamp designed by Federico Peri.

Federico Peri's first collaboration with FontanaArte dates back to 2017, with the Galerie family of floor and wall lamps, and expresses concepts related to materials: authentic, lived-in, which do not simply concern aesthetic standards but represent a true design philosophy from which any type of project begins, whether it is furniture, an installation or an interior.

Galerie is a contemporary project with a retro sign. The materials: glass, marble, metal and leather describe authenticity, in line with the brand's DNA.

The natural follow up of this collaboration is the new Fontanella table lamp. Lightness is its main feature and incorporates some concepts already expressed with Galerie such as timeless aesthetics and the presence of materials related to the brand: metal and glass, as in the historical tradition of FontanaArte.

'Sometimes some projects arise unexpectedly: during a trip, a dinner, watching a movie, or even thinking about something else. In this case the idea was born by rearranging some samples of materials in the studio and, by superimposing an inverted glass and a metal tube, I was attracted by the simplicity and beauty of that combination. The glass almost seemed to crystallize the image of a jet of water as in a fountain. This is where Fontanella comes from, a lamp where lightness is the main feature'. Federico Peri

The metal acts as a base and contains the light source while the glass, the true protagonist of the project, is expertly worked by skilled craftsmen in a process of fusion between a portion of transparent glass and a satin one from which the light diffuses.

Fontanella is made by the union of two glasses: the internal tube is threaded, sandblasted and finally joined with the bubble-shaped blown glass. What makes the processing particularly refined is the manual joining of the two parts which requires the skilful technique of a craftsman. Furthermore, glass, which has always been the material par excellence of FontanaArte products, is the most crystalline on the market.

Available in 2 sizes each of which in 3 different finishes: chrome base, black base and brass base.
