Today, six years from the launch of its first NikolaTesla, Elica marks yet another turning point in aesthetics, functionality and usage of extractor hobs with Unplugged.Conceived to create a natural and immediate relationship with the product, Unplugged is controlled through fixed click-release knobs with analog touch & feel, providing quick and intuitive access to its features. All elements are incorporated into a bold-lined appearance, developed to intelligently separate the cooking zone from the control area, which is protected from both damage and unwanted spills.
The large knobs give NikolaTesla Unplugged a professional look and their texture allows for perfect grip. The cooking and extraction areas are distinguished by the linear central glass flap, which conceals the extraction area, activating it only when necessary, with a simple touch.

Thanks to its automatic cooking features (Melting, Warming and Simmering), it is no longer necessary to stir delicate ingredients so they don’t burn onto the bottom of the pot and it is easier to guarantee both proper heat levels for slow cooking, like for risotto or soups, and to prevent overflowing of boiling water for more vivacious cooking.
NikolaTesla Unplugged helps the user to cook faster by bringing water to a boil 30% quicker than a traditional hob, while in the same way food may be fried in half the time, making it crispier and more flavorful.
