Land by Naoto Fukasawa: Expression and Fluidity
13/05/2019 - With its Land chair, designed by Naoto Fukasawa, Plank has extended its Lounge collection. A design distinctive for its pure lines, it seeks to balance the relation between form and character, expression and fluidity. For the latest edition of the Salone del Mobile, the seat was presented in a new version upholstered in fabric or eco-leather.
'The starting point for the project was to reflect on the width of the seat', says the designer, 'I made sure that Land was wider than normal and therefore open to other types of use, such as a surface for example' .
LAND is a lounge chair made in soft polyurethane moulding for indoor and rotational plastic mould technology for outdoor. The new version incorporates the identifying lines of the collection, making it more comfortable thanks to the padding and upholstery in fabric or eco-leather.
The low, slightly inclined seat of the LAND lounge chairs promotes a relaxed posture with outstretched legs and supported back. At the same time, it provides the feeling of sitting in a sports car. Ideal for indoor and outdoor applications, including lounges and waiting areas, Land outdoor version is enriched with an ottoman that increases its functionality.
