An evolution of lifestyle that antoniolupi reinterprets by staging a new concept of contemporary home furnishing, opening a new chapter for the Tuscan brand: Atelier_antoniolupi is born, a new collection of furniture that goes out of the bathroom to conquer every room of the house.
For the atelier_antoniolupi project, Andrea Lupi - CEO and Art Director - has chosen Gumdesign and Carlo Colombo as his travelling companions, called upon to interpret the brand's style through a collection composed of elements whose fil rouge is colour.
The Atelier_antoniolupi collection initiates a true revolution in the entire bathroom furnishing sector. As Lupi says: "For many years I had had the idea of creating a line of elements dedicated to the home. This change of direction reminds me of when in 1995 I decided to create the first design collection in the world of bathroom furniture, completely overturning the sector. Today I approach this project with the strong awareness of an entrepreneur who has been working in the front line for over 40 years".
The atelier_antoniolupi project outlines new forms of living space, creating a tailored and handcrafted collection, created with fabrics, velvets, leathers and handcrafted metals.
"A visual thought in transformation and evolution. Living itineraries. - This is how Gabriele Pardi and Laura Fiaschi of Gumdesign describe the atelier_antoniolupi collection - Free visions generating places and spaces. Suspended geometries flow into the daily life of the antoniolupi atelier".
The representative element of the collection is the Fox sideboard, designed by Carlo Colombo. Composed of a succession of volumes in different sizes and types of opening, Fox can be used as a shelf or container. In the two-sided version, this sideboard can also be placed in the centre of the room to divide the space.
Fox is a sequence of parallel planes, of load-bearing shoulders that do not divide but support the storage modules, reaching down to the floor to become a structure themselves. A rigorous volume that acquires personality thanks to the glossy lacquers or essences by antoniolupi, which define the identity of the sideboard and favour its placement in different style contexts
"When Andrea asked me to think of a real collection for the home, I immediately accepted this challenge because we usually see the reverse process: the living room or the bedroom entering the bathroom, while here the opposite happens," says Carlo Colombo. - says Carlo Colombo - "The result is a family of products, a dozen in all, consistent with the company's philosophy. The fil rouge that distinguishes them all is colour, which has always been a fundamental protagonist for the brand; these products have the capacity to become almost hybrid objects, which adapt to the different spaces in the home".
