One of the main points of the EDIT_Napoli Manifesto is to create an opportunity for confluence, contamination and dialogue between enlightened manufacturers, artisans and contemporary design that can give rise to new creative and productive opportunities. The "Collage" project is perfectly in line with these ideas: a thinking and design tool that turned into a product, and this product that turns into an opportunity for dialogue and discussion on form and design between designers and artists.
The Collage mirror project was born in 2019 from the collaboration between Luca Galofaro and Andrea Lupi, for whom he was curating the creation of the antoniolupi collection of architectural drawings. Some of Luca Galofaro's collages were included in the collection and then transforming some of these works into products was a natural consequence of the reflections shared between Luca and Andrea Lupi: transfiguring an image used to think about architecture into an object creates a bridge between imagination and reality, a sort of intrusion of the real into the imaginary.
Inside the spaces of the Monumental Complex of San Domenico Maggiore Luca Galofaro curates the site-specific installation "Collages" for which the invited artists have designed a limited edition of collectible mirrors: through images and drawings, the mirrors turn into a form of “reflection” from an unconventional point of view on representation, architecture and the city.
The four collectible mirrors in a limited series will enrich the antoniolupi collection with the special series "Collage Collection", which takes shape from the multifaceted imagination of the designer Elena Manfredini, from the urban visions of the street artist Giulio Vesprini and from the visionary architectures of Beniamino Servino.
