23/09/2022 - On the occasion of the
London Design Festival the new
Fabbian suspension lamps will be presented, the XY&Z system by Studio Gensler and DOME by Alessandro Di Prisco. Two projects that speak different languages, suitable both for residential and contract applications.
The XY&Z is a pendant lamp that takes its inspiration from the natural world, where a single seed generates other seeds, creating forests: a fitting that is suitable not only for large commercial spaces but also for environments where a decorative element is desired as an alternative to traditional spotlights and pendant lamps. The XY&Z project is notable because of the wide range of combinations of colours and textures of the two superimposed glasses that make up the diffuser.
The DOME range already refers clearly, in its name, to an architectural construction that consists of individual elements interconnected by arches. These generate a succession of vaults that design the surrounding space along with the light itself. A very simple device that has strong visual impact and because it is a modular system, can be repeated infinitely.
Design London will also be an opportunity for us to present two recent collections that have already become part of our everyday life: the Acustica range by Gio Minelli and Marco Fossati, which are designed to improve the quality of our environment with a lamp that also performs a sound-absorbing function, and Akoya (in pendant and wall versions) by Filippo Protasoni, which is characterised by a three-dimensional organic shape that suggests a shell containing a precious pearl.
