24/09/2019 - Furthering its human-centric vision for happy, healthy workplaces, BuzziSpace showcased select original solutions from its expanded acoustic lighting portfolio as a key part of this year’s London Design Fair.
BuzziSpace presented a creative lighting installation alongside an in-depth panel discussion at Darc Room. As a first-time exhibitor at Darc Room, the global company explored how sound and light directly influence mood, well-being, and productivity with a curated display of multi-functional acoustic lighting solutions, including two of BuzziSpace’s own in-house design concepts, BuzziProp LED and BuzziJet.
Form follows function with BuzziJet, an intentionally simple design based on the principals of geometric acoustics. Wide in diameter, this cylindrical design allows sound waves to bounce back-and-forth along the radius of its circular body, and in turn mitigates noise. BuzziJet is considerable in size, yet appears lightweight and airy thanks to its upholstered foam core, which creates a soft appearance, invoking a majestic sense of serenity. Concealed inside the body, a powerful light source emits warm, pleasant light.
Reminiscent of the tubular shape of a propeller, BuzziProp LED is an aerodynamic pendant design with sound-absorbing capabilities. With its minimal design, BuzziProp LED allows your mind to travel into an uninterrupted and balanced space, for improved concentration, productivity and focus at work. This acoustic lighting fixture is available in several fabrics, which gives you the opportunity to easily combine it with other furniture and create a harmonious design.
Blending beautiful design with superior noise-reduction performance and high-quality lighting, the exhibit’s intimate format invited visitors to discover firsthand the building blocks necessary to creating a well-balanced, comfortable space, enabling people to feel at home – while at work, or in any setting.
BuzziSpace also deepened further into the importance of sound and light with a Darc Room panel discussion, where Global Acoustics Ambassador, Daniel Verlooven, participated in an in-depth conversation about the role of acoustic lighting in commercial and hospitality settings.
Following the panel, BuzziSpace hosted an engaging workshop with Daniel at their London Sh’office (showroom and office), where visitors have experienced new solutions as well as gain valuable insights into the impact of sound in a daily working environment.
