12/05/2023 - Turning the ephemeral into a manifesto. The new lamps by Formagenda - a German brand specialising in lighting design - play with light and its reflections, experimenting with materials. Unveiled at Milan Design Week 2023 are the chameleon-like Mirror pendant and the Profile lamp collection, now with a new look.
The Mirror Lamp collection by Benjamin Hopf is the latest addition to the Formagenda universe. Its design is futuristic, its appearance chameleon-like.
Mirror adapts to any context, creating a new spatial layer in its reflection—three sizes for three finishes, from a transparent mirror effect to smoky grey to multi-coloured. In combination, they float like mobile sculptures, creating illusory worlds.
The name Profile immediately suggests the concept behind this Formagenda lamp by Christophe de la Fontaine. A slender, linear profile forms the base for a bevelled, graphic lampshade, now available in wool, Alcantara or fine vegan leather.
Textile surfaces create a muted and comfortable effect, resulting in an object that can adapt to different interior contexts, both public and private. This feature on display in the exhibition 'Terra. Inspired by Earth', the Archiproducts Milano Design Experience, where the Profile collection is part of the installation curated by Studiopepe.
