27/05/2024 - Outdoor shower or a giant insect? Looking at Stecco (the Italian name for stick insect) the connection to nature and to the animal world is immediate. It is the new Fima Carlo Frattini outdoor shower, part of the Ingiro collection designed by Lorenzo Damiani.

The main body is a metal tube that rises from the ground and ends with the housing of the pullout hand shower, it stands on two thin legs that evoke the shape of a slender animal with a long and elegant silhouette, just like Stecco. Exactly like the insect, known as the king of disguise for its remarkable ability to camouflage among branches and leaves, Stecco, with its vaguely anthropomorphic shape fits harmoniously and with a hint of irony into open-air spaces.

The main feature of the shower, common to   the entire collection, besides the perfect formal purity of the lines, is the freedom of movement and positioning.  The water is turned on and off using a practical foot switch, while the removable hand shower – the "head" of the stick insect - is designed to allow an easy grip and can be pulled till the desired height.

Stecco, like all the other INGIRO products, available in steel finish, grey, blue and green, is now offered also in burgundy red and sand grey, two new colours that match additional outdoor environments. Burgundy red is a rich pigment that tends towards red ochre with a hint of burnt brown, while sand grey with more neutral shades is warm and intense with a hint of beige that recalls natural fabrics such as hemp and jute.
