Graphic Interplay of Glass and Metal
21/07/2020 - For the German label pulpo, Dutch design duo Visser & Meijwaard reduce the shape of a shelf to the absolute minimum. The result: an assembly of doorless glass cubes that seem to float in an elegant metal frame  –  the lyn collection.

pulpo is a design editor abounding with experiments and emotion. Blending artisan handcrafts with a contemporary flair for material and form, they bring to life the imagination of pioneering designers. This time they teamed up with Vera Meijwaard and Steven Visser who articulate contrasts of material, size and spatial relations in playful designs – therewith questioning the aesthetics of the everyday.

The lyn cabinets are produced from float glass and powder-coated steel. Bubbles, streaks and other variations in size and color are part of the production process, and not defects of the design or production.

The series includes two sizes and is available in a range of color combinations.
