Minotti presents the 2020 Indoor & Outdoor collection
17/07/2020 - A digital preview and video accompanied the launch of the virtual project of the Resort and Lodge 'The Club', exclusively featuring novelties from Minotti’s 2020 Indoor & Outdoor collection that covers an area of contemporary and modernist taste. A collection for contract, domestic and hospitality areas with a strong international vocation in terms of style and design, though entirely Italian in its imprinting.

Designers of this year’s novelties are Rodolfo Dordoni, Nendo, Marcio Kogan / studio mk27, Christophe Delcourt and GamFratesi. The different cultural backgrounds of the designers merge and contribute to give shape and voice to the “Minotti project”: “It’s a complex collection, very articulated and open to various cultural influences,” says art director Rodolfo Dordoni. “It variegates through colors without creating stark contrasts.”

The 2020 collection looks West, to the sophisticated Mid-Century atmospheres of California; East, to the formal minimalism of Japan; and North, to the striking rigor of Scandinavia, all filtered by Minotti's own well-defined sensitivity and personality.
The 2020 collection develops a language that embraces the know-how of the tradition related to the world of upholstery, with a high level of sartorial craftsmanship. It features sculptural complements and seating elements with a strong personality that look back to the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies, reinterpreting their spirit.

The outdoor collection conceived as an extension of the indoor living room, where the borders separating indoors and outdoors cease to exist. Minotti has used this approach for some time now in its designs for furnishing open air spaces, such as private gardens and terraces, the outdoor areas of hospitality facilities, marinas or yachts. The outdoor furniture pieces are based on the main geometric shapes — square, rectangle, circle, one of the characterizing features of the 2020 Indoor Collection.

The eclectic approach creates a style,” - explains Fiorella Villa, Minotti’s communication and marketing director. “It’s more about atmosphere than just a single product. And it’s the result of a prolific collaboration between brand and designer, the sweet spot where intuition meets craftsmanship.”

TORII by Nendo
Nendo designs Torii, a collection that takes inspiration from entrance gates to Japanese Shinto shrines. With an interlocking game, the horizontal elements are laid on the vertical supports, ensuring a visual lightness that will easily fit into most settings.

CONNERY by Rodolfo Dordoni
Connery, as the name implies, breathes that futuristic air of our recent past. It reminds us of those imaginative settings of avant-garde environments', Dordoni. This versatile and customizable has an airy feel which is only emphasized by its rearward base.

BLAZER by Rodolfo Dordoni
Blazer is perhaps the product that reflects best Minotti’s way of tailoring, an exemplary element of brand recognition,” says Dordoni. Base, cushions, back and armrests are adorned by with regular bands. The stitching runs over the surfaces of all the single elements, creating a quilting effect with a very distinct aesthetic.

LINHA by Marcio Kogan
An expression of the minimalism that pervades the Brazilian architect’s designs, the Linha dining table manifests Marcio Kogan’s constant pursuit of elegance in the proportions of his creations, and of his almost obsessive attention to detail. Linha, or “line” in Portuguese, is his response to the challenge of designing a dining table with a large span, a structure only 16 mm thick and a top that can reach up to 4 meters in length. Visually, it appears extremely lightweight and airy, despite the strong impact of the materials used, in which marble takes center stage.

DAIKI by Marcio Kogan
Inspired by post-war Japan, Daiki is a collection of seating furniture with an architectural and sculptural look that derives from the Brazilian architect's passion for Japanese culture. This collection is characterized by clear, unadorned lines and high quality materials. It balances proportions and shows great attention to detail.

FYNN by GamFratesi
FYNN is the prefect expression of a delicate equilibrium between Scandinavian design and Italian handicraft. The collection combines the fine art of cabinet making with sophisticated upholstery.
The idea was to bring the essence of Scandinavian design into the project. We focused on the armrest, the collection’s characteristic feature, that eventually became the pivot of the project,” say GamFratesi.
The signature element of the Fynn seats is the 100% handmade armrest: elongated and slightly curved, rounded and smooth to the touch.

SUNRAY by Rodolfo Dordoni
Sunray is a light and floating collection of upholstered furniture with smaller dimensions and a rather urban look that fits terraces, balconies, or a yacht,” says Dordoni. Sunray juxtaposes different shapes and materials. Its airy surface in natural teak wood defines its horizontal line, while the curved backrest with interwoven cords gives it a dynamic allure.

FLORIDA OUTDOOR by Rodolfo Dordoni
Natural teak is the wood chosen for Florida to complement the mood of the 2020 collection and design living compositions that are blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. A wide range of elements allows for the creation of various linear or sinuous compositions that meet the need to enjoy smaller, more intimate spaces and convivial spaces also in outdoor environments.

LOU 2020 by Christophe Delcourt
Designed in 2017 by Christophe Delcourt, a revisited version of the LOU storage furniture range is now available. The French designer has changed the rules of perception, adding hidden functions to offer a contemporary take on the meuble à secret of the antique tradition from the past: the console features an interplay of drawers, the bar sideboard a concealed compartment covered in shiny steel, the classic sideboard a series of doors and drawers.
