Inspired by the beauty and philosophy of the natural electromagnetic spectrum as a starting point for each design, the Tapis Rouge Studio team looked to the four frequencies of light radiation and their respective wavelengths and photon energies, translating them into a collection of 14 distinctive designs that blend fluid forms with striking color gradients.
Rugs in the Laser hand-knotted series are characterized by innovative, dynamic shapes and a rounded cut of the long pile, which range from 2 to 16 mm, achieved in the manual carving stage: elements that result from deliberate formal and technical experimentation and research. Laser Mercury is 100% wool but can also be requested to be combined with silk to give the background light accents.
