12/09/2019 - German design brand Schneid Studio presents several new products at Maison&Objet. The designers Julia Jessen & Niklas Jessen strive for enduring and elegant products which are mindful and meet the modern Zeitgeist in a courageous way. Using natural raw materials, striking colors and bold shapes they create mood and atmosphere.
AURA VASE
Expressive and soft in their forms, the imaginative Aura vases emerge from a poetic reflection on the curves of the female figure. Through a raw sensuous surface, the intense hues and varied tones of rich or subdued colors get a quiet but tense feel, elevated by the soft reflection of light. Simultaneously abstract and familiar, the stoneware object blurs the line between everyday piece and sculpture.
Coming in two varied shapes, the Aura vases are hand built pieces of our own studio workshop and can therefore have slight differences in their appearance, bringing a unique and hand crafted character to the object. With the slow production process the vases reveal the inherent qualities of texture and color of their materials and convey slowness and awareness for our natural resources.
DAIS BOWL
The curved silhouhette and rhythmical structure of the Dais bowl allude to the aesthetics of topographic and architectural elements. Subtle details bridge with characteristic contours to emphasize a poetic sense of form, giving the bowl a calm and balanced character.
The Dais bowl comes in two stunning pastel hues „Sand“ and „Lavender“ and fits perfectly into modern homes to offer space for fresh fruits or other daily goods.
KASKAD LIGHTING
Bold rounded shapes and vivid waves are referencing to the flowing water of a cascade and define the silhouette of the Kaskad lamp. Hand casted of ceramic in three soft and earthy tones, the lamp shows off in a whole new light and elaborates a distinct visual feel, emphasized by its gently textured surface.
The dynamic between the unexpected material and superb workmanship, with its clear and linear expression, gives this interpretation of an archetypal suspension lamp its unique character. With its three extraordinary and stunning color choices: ‚Seashell‘, ‚Moss‘, and ‚Rust‘ the Kaskad lamp embodies pure aesthetics and a strong visual expression.
ONDA SHELF
Onda is a modular shelving system that elegantly joins form and function. With its rounded metal fixture it brings a sense of boldness and exalts the beauty of curved lines and soft contours at the same time, bringing an unexpected feminine edge to the material.
The shelves are made of oak wood and come in two different lengths. By a small milling on the bottom they can be easily placed on the black lacquered or chrome-coated frame.
