Meticulously handcrafted by ceramicist Stefania Boemi, this anthropomorphic vase of the Greek goddess Persephone is a testament to ancient crafting traditions. Crafted of terracotta with a rich matte glaze, the vase delicately represents the fertile and feminine visage of Persephone, goddess of spring and wife of Hades, complete with an ornate crown, pendant earrings, and luscious lips. The handpainted matte glaze contrasts with the glossy finish used for the vase's eyes, enhancing the captivating quality of the piece.
Traditional Sicilian anthropomorphic terracotta vases reinterpreted in monochrome and decorated with geometric shapes and lettering.
